Welcome to our web site, Originally dedicated
to the adventures of three brothers from a small Co Durham village
cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats
The three of us were born and brought up in the village of Kirk Merrington.
Malcolm: to North Yorkshire where he joined the police service, rising to the rank of Head of Specialist Support in North Yorkshire Police Western Area before retiring in 2001. Colin: still in Co Durham where he qualified as a motor vehicle technician before managing garages all over the North of England. Then working as a Motor Engineer for a large insurance company, before retiring. Graeme: Joined
the Royal Marine Commandos, travelled the world then worked in the prison
service, before retiring
Arranging a cycling holiday seemed a good way to spend some time together. This was great and we had some fabulous holidays Over the years due to personal circumstances the multi day men changed and a few new ones joined the adventure holidays but we stayed true to the origional idea of having a great time and overcoming all challenges and not giving up. It all started when Malcolm, fresh from cycling the Coast to Coast with a friend decided to try another cycle route, The Yorkshire Dales. |
